Michael Bullock, P.E., Principal Engineer, 20+ years experience
As a Principal Engineer, Michael oversees and completes environmental due diligence, assessment, and remediation projects for clients in the financial, real estate, and energy sectors.
Specialties: Due diligence, site characterization, feasibility studies, remediation design, implementation, and operation, litigation support, regulatory negotiation, and programmatic health and safety
Michael has completed due diligence projects in numerous western states including several large-scale projects with several thousand acres or with several hundred sites.
Additionally, he has managed high profile oil and gas releases in Wyoming and North Dakota that required both the technical skill to characterize the site as well as the negotiating skill to interface with the numerous regulatory agencies, the public, and NGOs. These sites included site characterization, remedial design and implementation as well as monitoring and maintenance of in-situ remediation systems. He has also characterized numerous smaller releases from pipelines, well pads, and disposal wells and prepared SPCC plans for a variety of facilities.
Michael was born in Washington, but engineering and Montana called to him at a very early age. As soon as he finished high school it was on to the Montana School of Mines (now Montana Technological University) and the plethora of fly-fishing opportunities within striking distance of Butte, America. After receiving a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and a seven-year stint back in Washington, he moved to Billings in 2006 where he began his family soon after.
Michael is married with two daughters and continues to pursue fly-fishing opportunities, camping, training bird dogs (English Springer Spaniels), and hunting. He volunteers as a soccer coach, sits on the Board of Directors for Pheasants Forever – Yellowstone Valley Chapter, and is the Billings Chapter President of the Montana Tech Alumni Association.View LinkedIn profile
