As Principal Geologist, Sean completes environmental assessment and remediation projects for a wide variety of clients. In more than 32 years of environmental consulting, he has served as senior project manager for environmental site characterization, remediation, and subsequent regulatory closure on several thousand projects. He has an excellent understanding of state-specific environmental statute in Washington, Idaho, California, and Oregon, and expertise in analytical chemistry and its practical application to project scoping. His verbal and written communication skills lend themselves well to the tasks required for regulatory site closure and redevelopment. And he has an excellent working rapport within the regulatory framework of many states.
For 10 years, Sean was Environmental Service Line Leader for a national consulting firm and covered a territory of eight western states. He was instrumental in developing corporate process and procedure—from initial vetting and beta testing of strategic hiring to proposals, presentations, and reporting; to candidate screening, training and coaching; to continuing education. He was also active in the development and rollout of new corporate health and safety practices, working directly with the CEO over nine months.
Sean was raised in diverse environments including California and Norway. In addition to his passion for the physical sciences and the rugged outdoors, Sean pursued his love of music as an accomplished professional on the trombone and euphonium. In the community, Sean is a nine-year baseball coach, a 20-year homeowner’s association president, and a local food bank volunteer. He also enjoys boating, vintage street motorcycles, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his two adult sons.
